Dragons Fell Upon Them

  Adventure 5 Players     3 Crows
Uses content from:     Core Game     Red Nails

“Aye. More than half a century ago a tribe of the Tlazitlans rebelled against the Stygian king, and, being defeated in battle, fled south- ward... a thousand fighting-men with their women and children.

It was in the forest that the dragons fell upon them, and tore many to pieces; so the people fled in a frenzy of fear before them, and at last came into the plain and saw the city of Xuchotl in the midst of it.

The people of the city shut their gates and shot arrows at our people from the walls.”

This Dragon token represents a second Dragon that is identical to the Dragon of Xuchotl for all purposes and is activated by the Event tile. Place the Crocodiles tile near the Book of Skelos to be used as a reference, but do not place it in the River with the other tiles. Crocodiles can only be activated by the Event tile.

Tlazitlans: Regardless of their colored base, all Tlazitlans have the same characteristics.

Battlefield Promotion: If a Hero with Leadership is killed or flees the board, their Allies may be commanded by any other Hero with Leadership. When the last Hero is killed, the Tlazitlans still on the board are immediatly devoured by the Dragon. Shot Arrows from the Walls: The Xuchotlan Archers cannot leave the cliff top areas.

Tore Many to Pieces: Before a Tlazitlan can enter an area with a Skull Pile, the Hero that activated the unit must first make a complex Manipulation with a difficulty of 2. If the complex Manipulation fails, the Tlazitlan’s movement ends in its current area.

Dragons Are Immortal: The Dragon of Xuchotl and the Dragon token cannot be killed. When wounded, instead of taking damage the Overlord must move it into an adjacent area.

Crashing through the Woods: Place a token in any area where the Dragon of Xuchotl or Dragon token end their activation (maximum 1 per area).

Unstable Areas: Areas with tokens are considered unstable. It costs 2 extra movements points to move out of an unstable area. The Dragon of Xuchotl and Dragon token are not affected by unstable areas.

Fleeing the Board: Any Hero or Ally can flee the board from a reinforcement area by spending movement points as if they were crossing a border. When the last Hero flees, the Tlazitlans still on the board are immediatly devoured by the Dragon.
